![]() | Why are humans going back to the Moon? | Global News Podcast Nasa's Artemis II rocket is headed towards the Moon, after a successful launch from the Kennedy Space Center. The mission — which will see the Orion spacecraft travel around the Moon and back to Earth — brings the US one step closer to its goal of landing on the lunar surface in 2028. President Donald Trump has declared it a victory for the US, writing on social media that America is "winning in space, on Earth, and everywhere in between — economically, militarily, and now, beyond the stars". The president has championed space exploration since his first term in the White House, supporting long-term plans to send humans to Mars. But why is President Trump so keen to put astronauts back on the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years? The BBC's science reporter Esme Stallard tells us about the rare earths and other valuable resources that could be found on the Moon — and the race between the US and China to get them first. ![]() | Poppy Playtime: The game that has more fans than players | BBC News Since the release of its first chapter in 2021, Poppy Playtime has become one of the most talked‑about indie horror series in gaming - and its main antagonist, Huggy Wuggy, is now known globally. Jump scares, mascot horror, found‑footage… not usually the three elements you’d expect to find in content adored by children. But Poppy Playtime isn’t just for kids. Millions of fans across the world have become deeply invested in its universe. In fact, the game itself often feels secondary to the lore, art style, and unforgettable characters that have taken centre stage. Major streamers such as Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, Hollow, and Gab Smolders have racked up millions of views playing the series which, interestingly, many fans haven’t played themselves. They prefer to watch creators stream the horror game. To understand the phenomenon from the inside out, we spoke to the team behind it all: Bryce Clarke, Director of Chapter 5, George Krstic, Senior Director of Creative Development, and voice actors Nicole Tompkins and Nized. Together, they reveal what life is really like behind the fandom, and doors, of Playtime Co.
