RESCIND AND REMOVE THE 20 MPH LAW

I for one can't fathom the reasoning behind the 20 mph speed law which came into effect on the 17th of September, I do accept the reason given that it will reduce the number of road deaths but I feel the current law of 30 mph is more than adequate, I can and do accept 20 mph near schools and hospitals, what is really needed was for more emphasis on catching people exceeding the current 30 mph law, these same people who exceed the current law will no doubt not care anything about exceeding the 20 mph law, this money which has been wasted on new road signs could have been better spent on the NHS.

I now have to drive around in 2nd or 3rd gear locally causing more pollution and also wear on my car.

I don't agree with the 20 mph law and so I have signed the "We want the Welsh Government to rescind and remove the disastrous 20 mph law" petition.

If you agree with me then please help to stop this war on the motorists by signing the petition here!

The petition was created by Mark Baker.
Collecting signatures until 13 March 2024

Mark says in his petition ......

We want the Welsh Government
to rescind and remove the disastrous 20mph law

The new 20mph law is coming into force on the 17th September and it will mark the end of having socialism in power in Wales.

Welsh Government claim to have supporting evidence stating that reducing to 20mph EVERWHERE saves lives! Yet we get flyers merely claiming that it will, and opinions from doctors that see RTCs coming into A&E. This is NOT evidence. The only true evidence is from Belfast and it states it makes NO DIFFERENCE to RTCs!

At least one of the trial villages in Monmouthshire actually reverted their trial because it was causing absolute carnage on the roads! Mark Drakeford has come out claiming it is a success in St Brides Major but every time I go though there NO ONE is driving at 20mph. The Welsh Government has FAILED to produce ANY convincing evidence to support these claims of safety. This law is being spearheaded by the WG Climate Change department and NOT Health & Safety!! YOU HAVE NOT LISTENED TO US. The Welsh Government was put there BY THE PEOPLE OF WALES, We are your boss! We demand that this foolish idea be stopped.

If you agree with Mark and myself then please help to stop this war on the motorists by signing the petition here!
