Program the UK DH/DV channels into your radio – 12.5kHz spacing.
70 CMS (UHF) – DH DH1: 438.5875 DH2: 438.6000 DH3: 438.6125 (calling channel) DH4: 438.6250 DH5: 438.6375 DH6: 438.6500 DH7: 438.6625 DH8: 438.6750
You can use any frequency allocated to the band except 433.500 & 433.550 which are analogue simplex calling channels.
You usually program your radio (BOTH DH & DV) for Colour Code 1, Slot 1, Talk Group 9 (local), you can actually use any slot (S1 or S2), color code(cc) or Talk Group(TG) but they must be the same for each radio or you won’t be able to connect. But for a normal QSO with other stations you use Colour Code 1, Slot 1, Talk Group 9 (local).
You don't have to use the programming to store digital channels you can set the mode to digital from the front panel on your radio and also the slot & color number. Program one of the button on the front panel to change back and forth between digital & analog.
2 Meters (VHF) – DV DV1: 144.5875 DV2: 144.6000 DV3: 144.6125 (calling channel) DV4: 144.6250 DV5: 144.6375 DV6: 144.6500
You can use any frequency allocated to the band except 145.500(FM CALLING) & 145.550(AM CALLING) which are analogue simplex calling channels.
If you are local to me then I monitor 2 meter simplex digital on 144.6125 using slot1, cc1 and tg-9 then usually QSY to DV1 or DV5, I can do 70cms digital as well if asked! Both mobile & home QTH.
